Description

Identical to Shredder's own Foot Soldiers, the Footbots are the Kraang Robot technology inside. These Footbots are stronger and faster than anything the Turtles have seen. As they continue fighting, they learn their enemies moves and improve their own fighting skills against the Turtles. These smart, exceedingly fast and strong Footbots give the Turtles a whole new challenge to overcome.

Variants

The Robotic Foot Soldier has a number of variants. But the differences can be difficult to see if you do not have both side by side to compare. There are two versions of the figure itself due to differences in the paint at the different production facilities. One version has a slightly duller finish for the black and silver colors on the figure. The second version has darker black plastic and the silver paint has a brighter, more metalic sheen. It can also be helpful to check the bottom of the packaging. All of the darker versions I have come across have had a code embossed into the insert near the UPC symbol. The weapons have a similar variation. The weapons for the darker version of the Robotic Foot Soldier are slightly darker in color. They are also made of a different material which is more flexible. To further complicate matters, there is also a running change to the weapons. Originally they were produced with large round openings for the Robotic Foot Soldier's hands to fit. That left them fairly wobbly. So the weapons are now being produced with a smaller, rectangular opening for the hands. This change does not appear to be limited to just the darker color version of the weapons. Fortunately, you can tell which version of the weapons are included by looking at them through the side of the packaging.
