Description

It's true! The Turtle has landed! In fact, four of them have followed in the glorious space path of the Apollo 11 astronauts who boldly blasted off toward the moon, touched down and did America proud by bringin' back a bag of moonrocks for scientists to study and sell as collectible souvenirs. That was a quarter of a century ago, July 20, 1969. Today, the technology has gotten a little better; but the risk is still there. And Touchdown Donatello's ready to take the chance, cuz he's heard rumors about there bein' pepperoni 'round the polar parts of the moon. If that's so, then it'll be a spicy space ride, for sure! Just to make things go smoothly, Touchdown Donatello's equipped with a backbreakin' backpack survival unit (BBSU) and tubular tubes for surefired breathing. His anti-vacuum space helmet helps minimize toting large amounts of oxygen. And to crown his achievement on his moon mission, Touchdown Donatello's ready to proudly display the Ninja national American flag. Along with Lunar Leonardo, Retro Rocket Raphael and Moon Landin' Michaelangelo, Touchdown Donatello will have the backing to explore the moon and do some serious lunar surface surfin'. Hey, you'd moonsurf, too, cuz there's the promise of crater-sized pepperoni! Touchdown Donatello may get homesick, too, so he'll be on the look-out for sewers on the moon. With his Mutant space pioneers along for the ride and recognition, you can be sure the whole galactic gang of 'em will be happy to splashdown to Earth, where pizza can be delivered!
